Logbook Servicing

Whenever you purchase a new vehicle, the manufacturer provides you with a warranty which covers the cost of any parts failures. The warranty is only valid, however, if you have the vehicle periodically serviced by a certified mechanic, who records these services in your vehicle’s logbook.

Brake Services

Steering & Suspension

Tyres

Diesel Particulate Filter and Exhaust Gas Recirculation

As with all filters, the DPF filters and traps pollutants from your diesel engine’s exhaust. Over time, these pollutants build up in your DPF and the filter needs to be cleaned, unblocked and regenerated for your engine to keep running smoothly.

RWC & Vehicle Inspections

If you’re planning on selling or otherwise transferring ownership of a vehicle, you must first obtain a Roadworthy Certificate, issued by a licensed tester after a thorough inspection. The inspection ensures that the vehicle can be safely driven on Victorian roads.

When you’re looking at buying a secondhand vehicle, we would recommend bringing it in for a pre-purchase inspection. The pre-purchase inspection ensures that you know exactly what you’re buying, and helps you avoid any nasty surprises.

If you’re planning a trip out into the bush, or even just a long road trip, we’d strongly endorse bringing it in for a pre-trip inspection. Would you rather discover your timing belt is about to snap in a mechanic’s workshop where it can be fixed, or find out about it when it does snap out in the middle of nowhere.

Air Conditioning

Your air conditioning actually degrades more from disuse than from use, as the rubber tubing and seals, which make up the majority of the system, dry up and crack when not used, allowing the refrigerant gas to leak out and rob your aircon of its cooling power.

At Total Auto Centre, we can fully repair your AC, starting by replacing broken compressors and condensers, then swapping out any cracked tubing and seals, and finally recharging your system with refrigerant once we’re sure it’s hermetically sealed.
